SMT is another important process during the whole production, the quality determines the yield rate. The lead time is always affected by the yield rate. A good SMT factory produces good quality PCBA. A good supply chain determines the rate. Sometimes your supplier told you the lead time is a certain date, however, when the date arrived, they said they need extra time. That’s because they need time to fix the RMA PCBAs during production. The PCBA’s quality always was determined by the SMT factory and its SMT machine. No doubt, the latest machine will have better results.
A fast response is a basic index for a good supplier. Chinese work very hard, especially, the salesman in China. They will respond immediately once received customer’s emails or messages even they are deep sleeping. At least, they will reply something like “well noted”, “I will reply ASAP once I get the latest news”. If the salesman can’t reply to you on time after their first response, it proves your project is very hard to handle or it needs extra time, or you find a very poor manufacturer or its core business is not for your project. Don’t extravagant hope that an E-commerce business company will advise very good support on your project unless you paid a lot of money to them. Actually, the lots of money is a waste because you can find a better one. For B2B business, you need to find someone focused on B2B business rather than an e-commerce company. No doubt, an E-commerce company supplies good quality products because the business platform has critical reviews to limit sales. You won’t get very good business support due to the difference between a B2B business company and an e-commerce business company.
