1. Unpacking

Thanks to Apple’s wireless charging function, the entire wireless charging market ushered in explosive growth, and wireless charging can finally be quickly popularized. Almost all brands have launched wireless chargers. Disco CHOETECH also recently launched a vertical wireless charger, which uses a separate PCB and coil design to effectively alleviate the impact of high temperature on wireless charging efficiency. The dual-coil structure is perfect. It is compatible with vertical and horizontal placement, with a maximum power of 10W, compatible with Samsung 10W/Apple 7.5W/normal 5W. To further understand how the internal materials are used, the editor got the product the first time, and then I will bring you a disassembly evaluation of this product.

The outer packaging of the CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger is white and blue in a simple style, and the appearance of the vertical wireless charger is printed on the front.

Product features on the side of the box: 10W fast wireless charging, dual-coil design, charging protection function, free position placement.

The product specifications on the back of the package are as follows: model T555-S, input interface: Micro USB, input: 5V2A, 9V1.8A, output: 10W (Max), the product has passed CE, RoHS, FCC, WEEE, and other certifications.

The CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger is made of black PC material. The structure is divided into two parts of the panel base, and the “CHOETECH” logo is printed on the front.

There is a 60° vertical angle between the tilted wireless charger panel and the horizontal base. After the phone is placed, the angle is tilted to face the human eye, which is convenient for users to “charge and play” while enjoying the wireless charging process.

The back is very simple without any printing, you can see that the product is assembled with Phillips screws.

The back of the wireless charger base is the MicroUSB input interface. From the macro details, you can see the rounded transition treatment and frosted surface process of the shell edge.

There are “3” indicator lights on the front of the base. In fact, 1 LED diffuses light to 3 holes through the soft light block, and it will light up a very light green light when it is working normally.

There are four soft pads at the bottom of the base, which can play a non-slip effect when placed on the desktop. The product parameters are also marked at the bottom. Product name: Fast Wireless Charging Stand (vertical fast wireless charger), input: 5V2A, 9V1.8A, output: 10W (MAX).

2. Test articles

Entering the test article, we found four full-screen iPhones, namely the iPhone X released last year and the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR released this year. Let’s take a look at the compatibility of the CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger with the iPhone. How about sex.

From left to right are the iPhone XS in space gray, the iPhone XS Max in gold, the CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger, the iPhone XR in white, and the iPhone X in silver.

The iPhone X is placed in a horizontal position to charge the actual test.

How about the charging speed from 0% to 100% in the whole process? The editor used two iPhones for this test, namely the iPhone XS (2568mAh) with the smallest battery capacity and the iPhone XS Max (3174mAh) with the largest battery capacity in the history of the iPhone.

The first is the 0%~100% charging test of the iPhone XS with the smallest battery capacity. The ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM001 is used to monitor the entire charging process. It can be seen that the power platform is stable for up to one and a half hours, and the performance is excellent. Finally, the whole process takes 3 hours. Full iPhone XS in 05 seconds.

Then there is the iPhone XS Max, which is the Apple mobile phone with the largest battery capacity in the history of the iPhone. The power platform has been stable for 50 minutes, and the entire process took only 3 hours and 37 minutes.

Then, we used the iPhone XS Max original standard 5V1A charger to conduct a wired charging test, and the results showed that it took about 3 hours and 42 minutes to fully charge. It can be seen that the iPhone is charged with the CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger, which is faster than the original 5V1A.

3.  Dismantling articles

In the last test session, you can see that the performance of the CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger is very good. Whether it is the iPhone XS with a small battery capacity or the iPhone XS Max with the largest capacity, it can be fully charged in about 3 hours. I believe that the friends will be very interested in the inner part of this product, and I will immediately enter the dismantling link without much nonsense.

Thanks to the use of standard Phillips screws for assembly, this product can be disassembled without damage. First, tear off the 4 spacers on the base, and then remove the 4 Phillips screws.

Open the base cover to expose the PCB part, and a heat sink for soaking is attached to it.

The coil is separated from the PCB design, the solder joints are full and shiny, and the wettability is high.

The position of the LED indicator is a light guide plate, and a single LED is diffused into a “3” indicator light through the light guide plate.

Remove the fixing screws on the PCB.

Further disassembly requires the use of a soldering iron to melt the solder joints and separate the PCB from the coil.

Separate the base and panel.

The heat sink used for soaking is rectangular, with a thermally conductive silicone pad affixed to the bottom, and the back of the black PCB is smooth without any components, and it is in close contact with the heat sink.

Remove the screws on the back of the panel.

Open the panel cover to expose the double coil and the magnetic isolation sheet.

With two magnetic spacers and two coils, the assembly process is good.
The pallet used to support the mobile phone is assembled to the panel with two screws, and the fixing screws are removed.
A non-slip rubber pad is attached to the bezel of the phone.

4. Summary

The CHOETECH vertical fast wireless charger (T555-S) disassembly evaluation article has come to an end. This product supports the horizontal or vertical placement of the mobile phone. Two different placement methods can meet the user’s use on different occasions. Transformed into a drama artifact. The editor used 4 full-screen iPhones to test. All 4 mobile phones can trigger APPLE 7.5W wireless fast charging when placed horizontally or upright. The input power can reach 10W, 0%~100% charging test, iPhone The XS takes only 3 hours and 05 seconds for the whole journey and the iPhone XS Max with the largest capacity takes only 3 hours and 37 minutes to fully charge.

Internally, the materials used are solid enough to be willing to use expensive NPO capacitors, and the PCB and coil separate design is reasonable and in place, which helps to dissipate heat. Adopting Sunplus (Lingtong) a complete set of wireless charging transmitter solutions: GPMQ8005B main control chip + GPMD2130A driver chip + GPMD3130 voltage regulator MOS tube, all of which belong to the old manufacturer’s plan, and the product performance can be effectively guaranteed.

Besides, the editor also received news that in addition to black, the wireless charger will also be launched in a variety of different colors, which can perfectly correspond to the colors of the iPhone XR. Blessed are all “lustful” players.
